Here is an employer who wants employees. Here also are young men and young women who want jobs. They go in and make application and find the owner of the shop delighted to have them work for him. They are just the kind he has been looking for.
Boys and girls, do you know the Lord Jesus is looking for you and calling you to come in and make application? First of all. He wants to save you, make new, truly good persons out of you. Even though He is calling you, you must also submit your application. No boy or girl can possibly be saved unless they go to the Lord about the matter. Thousands are unsaved because they do not attend to this Number One step. Hear the announcement of the Lord Jesus:
"Whosoever will, let him come." He does not invite only a few special ones. His grace embraces all.
The other day I saw a placard with "Notice, half a million boys wanted!" I did not stop to inquire what they were wanted for, but I thought Jesus wants more than half a million. He would receive, save, and employ all young people in the whole wide world if they would only accept Him as their Master. Yes, boys and girls are wanted everywhere for Christ.
If there is a dear young soul reading this who wants a place in the service of the Lord Jesus now, seek an interview with the Savior. He wants you; He calls you, so you may be sure He will receive you when you answer His call. He distinctly says, "Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out" (John 6:37). And again:
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man will hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him and he with me" (Revelations 3:20).
Let me tell you young people, I was young once too, and to my regret I found Satan's promise of a good time was illusional and brought many disappointments. I felt convicted of my sins and heard the call of God through His Holy Spirit inviting me to become a Christian.
When I answered the call and gave my heart to Him, He blessed me with a wonderful peace. (John 14:27). Moreover, I received a joy in living, a faith for the future both for this life and the life to come, plus a zeal to do something worthwhile for which we shall be greatly rewarded in untold blessings now in this present life and more so in heaven. Such a Joy can be yours too, if you will answer His call.
My dear youthful friends, pour out your heart to the Lord and make personal application now for a place in His eternal kingdom. (Ecclesiastes 12:1). In case of need for help to become a Christian, write to the address on this tract or seek out a faithful Christian to confide in. A personal contact is often God's method to lead souls into Gospel light.
