Martyrs Mirror

of the Defenseless Christians who baptized only upon confession of faith,
and who suffered and died for the testimony of
Jesus, their Saviour, from the time of Christ to the year A.D. 1660.

The Martyrs Mirror is a history book that was first published in 1660 in the Dutch language by Thielman J. van Braght. The book contains many chronicles, memorials and testimonies of Christians who were persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ. The aim of the book was to put into writing accounts of Christians who were faithful to death to Jesus Christ. The book is not an attempt to glorify these men, but is an attempt to challenge us to a closer walk with Jesus Christ.

May the reading challenge you to a closer walk with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
